Vernon is well respected in the Business Consultancy profession – holding senior positions on several professional bodies like ISACA & CIPFA. He now sits on ISACA’s new COBIT5 Taskforce developing ISACA’s new in depth approach to Information Governance. In January 2008, he gained the ISACA certification – CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT) which has led Vernon to being involved in many Information Governance assignments in UK. Vernon recently became a CRISC (Certified in Risk & Information Systems Control) professional.

Talk: Social Engineering (Part 1) by Sharon Conheady

We are pleased to announce that the first NUKSG meeting of 2010 will take place in Manchester at the end of February.

Our guest speaker is confirmed as Sharon Conheady, Director at
FirstDefence Information Security, who will present on Social
Engineering. As you may recall, Sharon was due to present this talk in
Manchester early last year but we had to cancel the meeting due to bad weather.

She has since spoken at the Leeds meeting and was very well received, so we’ve asked her to come back to represent her talk in Manchester as originally planned, so lets hope we don’t have snow trouble again!

Francisco Fonseca, CEO of AnubisNetworks
Francisco has 10 years of experience with email platforms. From 1999 until 2006 he worked for Vodafone implementing and managing many e-mail platforms that were used in corporate and ISP environments. He was recognized by Microsoft as Exchange MVP (Most Valuable Professional) in 2003, 2004 and 2005, has taught in the Universities of Nova and Moderna and he has a degree in Management and Informatics from the University of Minho, Portugal.
